Greenland Sod has the BEST sod in our surrounding area. “ Joe “ is Extremely knowledgable and the Office ladies are very helpful and pleasant.

You can either drive out to their Sod farm with your own truck and trailer and transport pallets ( 64 pieces ) yourself, or Phone in your pallet order and pay for it to be delivered.

Actually, I think we are FORTUNATE to have such a good quality sod farm, in such close proximity to Clarksville. If you have a new build or have failed attempts at growing grass by seed, I highly recommend trying to lay sod. You can You Tube instructions on how to layvit out and the ground prep can be as extensive as you want or as minimal as you want. Like anything else, the MORE you put into it, the more you’re going to get out of it.

In my front I had EVERYTHING removed via Harley Rake it was power raked and all top layer of grass removed and top layer of dirt filled up and new screened top soil added and new sod placed upon it.

In my back property I cut the grass down as low as I could and just placed the new sod, directly on top of my existing grass. I covered all bare spots and muddy areas. You can distinctively SEE the area in the back where I laid sod, opposed to the areas without the sod. This is my example and why I can give an honest testimony to both methods that I used. I’ve put in the MAXIMUM and I’ve had TREMENDOUS success and I’ve put in minimal and have gotten success.
It’s just DARN GOOD SOD and that’s what’s important—STARTING with a GOOD- QUALITY PRODUCT!
