Hello my name is Robert Perry, this company ( Handyman of DC) has been in bissness sence 1990 and along the way there has been ups and downs with projects and People.

Handyman of DC is GOD AWFUL! I wouldn't recommend him to an enemy. Where should I begin. He is never on time and he is unprofessional at best. I'm not even sure that he's licensed. This guy has a habit of taking people's money and using it for his own purpose...that's the reason why he tries to get so much money up front. Don't trust this A$$HOLE!!

The WORST experience ever! I have owned several houses and used many handman, electrician, plumber etc etc. Robert Perry from Handyman of DC has been the worst of them all. Even though his price was a bit higher, I thought I should give the job to a local handman rather than a big company. It was a simple light fixture hanging and I had to fire him when a job he said that would take couple hours happened to be couple days. He was MINIMUM 2 hours LATE to every appointment, never called when he said he would. Much more to say about his non professional attitude towards his work but I will let Karma catch up with him. If you need a handyman, this one is definitely not for you. Pay fifty bucks more and hire a real professional!

This was the worst decision I've ever made for a contractor. Started in October and still incomplete. Mr. Perry misused the finances and provided amatuer, at best, services: visible drywall lines, messy painting and mudding (still cleaning things that should have been covered), just having bulk pick up pick things he left behind, doors installed incorrectly, toilet not seated correctly and misc. other issues. I have Mr. Perry opportunity after opotunity to make this right to no avail. It appears a judge will have to help do so.

I've had him replace the track on my closets and some trim work on my house. He destroyed my closets and put the wrong tracks. His work was amateur . He destroyed my frames and did some of the worst jobs I have ever seen. Plus when i told him about it he got a big attitude asking for more money and saying this or that wasn't discussed. Some of the worst work i've ever seen

My initial impression was that the cost of labor was too high to repair my window; nevertheless, Mr. Perry was friendly and I wanted the work done. Then, the cost of the replacement part seemed high as well. I tried to negotiate the price down but was unsuccessful, and I had already given him some money up front. The night he was supposed to return to finish the job and fix the window, he did not show up. I called him to ask where he was and he said he probably wasn't coming because it was raining. Wow. He said he had "stuff to do" and would call later. He didn't. I will call someone else to finish the job and I would advise finding another handyman in D.C.

Mr. Perry was prompt, professional and competitively priced. I like the fact that his website states that "no job too big or too small". I've used his services on two occasions. The first time he provided carpentry and painting. He even corrected and completed a wall mounted cabinet that I started. I really appreciated that. Some professionals won't make corrections on a job started by another person. The second occasion was an emergency where my gutter blew down from strong winds. His work is outstanding. I will definitely be a repeat customer. I highly recommend his services.

I own several rental properties that I have had Mr. Perry maintain for me for the last few years now. His skill level spans the whole range of repair needs from electrical, plumbing and carpentry repair to window and door installation and roof repair. I haven't had any repair problem that Mr. Perry couldn't handle. He's always been reliable and dependable to show up day or night as promised.

You can not ask for better service . Mr. Perry is on time, his prices are great. His work is the best I have had in a very long time. He will do the job right the first time. I still use him when I have a problem. I recommend him very HIGHLY.

I contacted Mr. Perry to remodel my living room. He gave me an itemized estimate that showed a breakdown of each task cost. He was prompt and courteous with a telephone call if he was late. The work he performed was wonderful and I would suggest him to friends and family.

Mr Perry was the Handyman that i needed right away, i purchased a entertainment center/wall unit for my livingroom and when i opened it i realized the directions was not in the box. I looked up handyman svcs and came across Handymanofdc1. He addressed me so pleasantly and asked what was the nature of my call. I explained to him that the directions was not in entertainment center and wall unit box and he said, no problem! He came out within a reasonable time and i was truly thankful for the job well done when finished. I have no doublt that he was the right person for the job. No job is too big or too small for Mr Perry. I would recommend his services to family and friends.

I found a great handyman! He knows his stuff and I haven't found anything he can't do around the home. Electrical, plumbing, gutter work, yard work, painting, installing appliances. Four stars Mr. Handyman of DC!

MY HANDYMAN-MR. PERRY HAS DONE GREAT WORK FOR ME AND MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY...HE DOES IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND THERE ARE NO COMPLAINTS OR CONFUSION..HE IS VERY REASONABLE AND WILL LET YOU KNOW UP FRONT IF HE HAS TO DO MORE THAN RECOMMENDED FOR THE JOB...HE ALSO VERY PLEASANT TO TALK TO...I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM FOR ALL MY JOBS...

When i spoke to Mr Perry, he was very professional and he knew his job. I even learned some of the terminology of home repairs and the details of what was involved. My family and I are very pleased with our new bathroom and reglazed tub. I wont hesitate to call him again. Great job!

I had the handyman to my home to install a large flat-screen tv on the wall.he came gave me not only an estimate but explained the job thoroughly an was very knowledgeable about it .the estimate was a good price by my comparison so he began immediately he was fast an an also clean which was a plus.very professional an i would use him again an recommend him to anyone who needs him.definitely a great service.
