Had Hanson come to our house in Duchess County last week to check our well. Our plumber told us the well was dry. They double checked the plumbers work and found the well was indeed dry. Drilled the well on Monday, hooked it up on Tuesday. I couldn't believe how great their organization was top to bottom. Call these people with your well problems.

I was beyond impressed with Hanson's ability to produce solid work on my well pump project. If anyone is debating which local well service to use. Hanson, hands DOWN. Todd was personable, honest and did a stellar job. He also taught me alot along the way while he was doing the work. If i could give this review 6 stars, I would.

Absolutely loved these people. I was building in Saratoga County and everyone told me to use Hawk or Rosick. Hawk was obnoxious, Rosick didn't seem interested in doing the work. Hanson came out, were friendly and happy to work with me. I was out of town when they drilled the well, but they kept me updated and it never seemed like I was bothering them. Could not have been happier. I wrote them a nice letter, and figured this was a good way to share my experience.

I had to write this review because I cannot understand how this company has a bad review. Here was my experience.

Two weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon I had ran out of water. I have lived alone for 10 years and don't know a single thing about wells or water. I called a local well contractor in Columbia County on Monday to check it out. As soon as they got here he told me I had no water in my well. They gave me prices and told me that drilling was my only solution. I told them I wanted to check with another well company and get a second opinion. They insisted to know who I was calling and I told them I would probably call Hanson. All they did was speak badly about Hanson and told me not to call them. I did anyways.

Hanson Wells came out the same afternoon. Joe was the service guy and is apparently the owner too. I told him my story from the morning with the other well contractor and that I needed to drill another well. Joe said that we should test the waterlines to make sure a leak wasn't the reason for running out of water. Sure enough, my water pipe from my well to my house had rotted apart, running my well non-stop, and it ran my well clear out of water.

Joe had an excavator brought to the house that afternoon at 3 pm and dug up the waterline right then. It was a metal line, so he changed it right to the house with a new plastic line. He cleaned the site up and it looked like they were never there. When they were done outside, he came inside to check my equipment. My tank was low with air, so he put more in. The water pressure is better than it has ever been in 30 years. Joe left at 11 pm, and never complained once. He even seemed happy to be there.

I saw these negative reviews after Hanson left and I had to write about my experience. If I had gone with the "local" well guy in town, who had nothing good to say about Hanson, I would have ended up drilling a new well and spent approximately $9,000.00 more than I did. I learned two things that day: Hanson Well are great people and a great company, and, if another contractors says nothing good about someone, its likely because their company doesn't measure up to them or are scared of them.

I would recommend these people any day of the week. Great family and great people!

I have to agree with Kelly M.'s 5-star rating. If I could give higher than 5 stars, I would. Yesterday morning we were without water, and called Hanson. Joe came all the way out to our location in eastern Berkshire County early in the afternoon as promised, and by dinner time he had replaced our failed well pump and pressure tank. We were back in business, and our water pressure is better than ever. These guys really know how to handle an emergency! We couldn't be more pleased with the knowledgeable and friendly service!
