Shredded finger

Each time I revisit my experience three weeks ago I am in awe at how quickly Hatzalah responded. Maybe it was three minutes. I thought I was quite calm as I dialed the number on my fridge, however, when the first rersponder arrived on the scene he found me running around outside not sure what to do. I was directed to return to my home, sit down and BREATH. What a relief I felt knowing competent, capable and caring men were there to help me. So when it was time to take me to the E.R., my daughter was gonna drive, however when the first responder saw her looking like she was gonna vagal, he offered to drive. That was just the beginning. Thinking clearly he drove me to Union Memorial to try to save my finger tip. OK, so the tip and the spinach found inside my shredded finger had to be removed, but "Don't worry, I was told-you won't feel any pain with the perkocets and oxycontins and tylenol with codeines. And if that was'nt enough drama for me, throughout the following week a Hatzalah big wig checked out the wound to make sure no infection set in and lucky for me he did because infection was there which meant another trip to the E.R. with him to hold my hand (figuratively speaking of course), because the fam had gone to a simcha out of town. So that is enough drama I would have thought but I did'nt realize that the shakes and light headedness and feeling like I'm gonna faint are just NORMAL side effects of the drugs so once again Hatzalah is called. Now it is three weeks later and B"H things are quieter. Continued Hatzlachah to this most amazing organization. LB from Baltimore
