Founded in 1977, Heatron has grown to become one of the leaders in innovative heating element and thermal management designs and solutions. In 1984, the company built a new production facility. Additional production facilities were constructed in 1994 to accommodate production of new products and expand capacity for current product lines. Heatron's third production facility was purchased in 2002. In May 2002, Heatron acquired ECA Electronics, located in Erie, Pa., one of the largest producers of custom ELPOR ceramic-coated circuit boards. Designed for ruggedness, heat sinking capabilities and low cost, the circuit boards are utilized for a variety of applications in the display, lighting, automotive, appliance, military defense, computer, medical, industrial controls and communication markets.
