This rental landlord will not refund your full deposit no matter how clean you leave it! Get EVERYTHING in writing and take lots of pictures of the house's condition. They don't understand "reasonable wear and tear". Cathy replaced worn out carpet and linoleum in the entire house and charged us full price for the carpet in the master bedroom because of a light blue stain. We cracked one blind and were charged $75 to replace the whole assembly, (which was sun-faded and the rollers didn't work properly even though the maintenance man told me this was not something we did). Then they charged us $25 to replace a Jerry-rigged hinge on the bathroom vanity door that we had never touched. Also, $35 to clean the master bathroom even after the receptionist and maintenance man told us the house was very clean, and $50 to touch up paint when the house had been touched up when we moved in and before we moved out.



You will never speak to Cathy in person - NO MATTER WHAT- only her receptionist, who can't make any decisions on her own. When we moved out, the receptionist and the maintenance man said numerous times that the house looked great, was very clean, and we should get most of our deposit back, but in turn, got just over 50%.



We never took before pictures when we moved in, but thank goodness we had a video recording of our final walk-through with the two assistants. We now have to take this to small claims court. Think twice and then think again before renting or buying from this shrewd company!
