I actually have mixed feelings about Jim Hipp Nursery.



On one hand, I've bought several things from them over the past few years (2x maple trees, 1x sycamore tree, 32x emerald green arborvitae, and a hand full of rose bushes and other plants). They have always been very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. And their pricing is pretty fair.



Other the other hand, in the last 6 months I've lost 26x emerald green arborvitae, 1x maple tree, and another plant (can't remember the name). Normally you can expect to lose a few plants or trees now and then. It's nature, it happens. But since I lost 28 of the 41 items (70%) I purchased from them I decided I would call them and see if they would replace them. After all it was about a $1,000 worth of items. I was told that there policy is to only replace items they personally plant and because I chose to plant them myself I was out of luck.



This seems absolutely crazy to me. I've seen other nursery's replace items years later. Hell, even places like Lowe's would replace them.



So like I said earlier, I have mixed feelings. I like the people and the nursery, but if they can't/won't stand behind their products I have no choice to go elsewhere. And I'm out about $1,000.
