The Hobe Sound Nature Center is a private, non-profit organization, dedicated to environmental awareness and education. The Center is a cooperating association with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and located at the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge. The Center is home to over twenty different species of animals as well having many other interactive displays. One of our unique features is that our resident animals are able to be taken out and be touched by children. The Nature Center offers both on and off-site native wildlife presentations and field experiences to the local community. We host many events throughout the year including weekend special events, seasonal lecture series, and a summer nature camp for students ages 6 to 12. A highly popular event is our sea turtle walk program, held from the end of May through mid July. The Hobe Sound Nature Center is a private, non-profit organization, dedicated to environmental awareness and education.
