My family and I cannot say enough good things about Home Based Carpet and Flooring. Greg, Brandon, and their entire crew are absolute craftsmen. They are not ‘contractors’, not ‘flooring guys’, none of that - they are artisans and masters of their craft. We were fortunate enough to have them install new Luxury Vinyl Panels in our entire first floor of approximately 1500 square feet. They had to remove carpet, go on top of existing parquet, and over rolled vinyl. They did all of this, installed new sub-flooring to make everything flush, and paid attention to every single detail. They left our home every day cleaner than they started and had great, efficient, thorough communication throughout the project. Nothing was missed: from installing all new quarter round around the house, to going around intricate corners, to removing toilets to install underneath, to meticulously and thoughtfully emptying our pantry, can-by-can to install the flooring because I forgot to do so. They treated our home and our family like their own and left our home cleaner than when they started. I was fully comfortable leaving for the day and allowing them to do their thing - they do not sub-contract their work - it is them and families who’ve worked for them for years. We could not be more pleased! It was an absolute pleasure to work with them and I look forward to having them work on the upstairs in a year or two.

Home Based Carpet & Flooring was amazing from start to finish. Very professional and courteous and reasonably priced! Can't recommend them enough! They were so great to work with and truly went above and beyond to make the process as easy and smooth as possible. They cleaned up and didn't leave a trace behind.

Not exaggerating, my husband and I are totally thrilled with our new carpet from Home Based Carpet & Flooring. This company is not just interested in sales, but also in helping its customers to make well-informed decisions on purchases with which they will be happy for years to come. From start to finish, the job went flawlessly. When I first called, Greg spent time with me on the phone to learn our needs and to explain about the company being an in-home service and that his son is a well educated and skilled carpet installer and head of the expert installation team. It was really great to have them consulting with us in our home, rather than our going to a store. That way they could see exactly what our needs were and recommend the kind of carpet that would best suit those needs, and we could see what the carpet would look like in the lighting of our home rather than in a showroom. At our first meeting in our home, Greg and Judy even asked about how the rooms were used and talked to us about traffic patterns, concerns about spills, comfort for children playing on the floor, etc.Brandon took the measurements and talked to me about our special requirements for carpeting the sunken living room steps and risers, the way they do the seams so they will never split, and the quality of work done by the installation team. While Greg was doing an estimate of the cost and talking to my husband, Judy accompanied me with the samples to help me choose the color that best suited the walls and dcor of the rooms. I had in mind which shade of the color I liked best and without telling her my choice, she picked the same one. Then Greg called the warehouse to be sure we could get the carpet and color we chose. We were told how to maintain the carpet to last us for many years.The day of the installation Brandon arrived to go over the job with the three installers. They were polite, clean, and hard working and did an excellent job. The day after, Greg called to see how everything went for us and how we like the carpet and job they did for us. We were promptly mailed a carpet care and stain removal guide along with warranty information. If we ever need new carpeting again, we will certainly be return customers. Both my husband and I highly recommend Home Based Carpet and Flooring.

Greg and his wife came to our home and asked questions then provided us suggestions for styles of carpeting that would meet our needs as well as look great in our basement. We settled on a style and color and scheduled the install for about a week later. The installers were fantastic. They had several large items to move but did so with no issues. The finished product was great. I really felt as though this company wants to give you the best carpet for you, not looking to just sell you the most expensive option. In fact, they steered us away from a more expensive style we were considering because it would not look right on the stringers on our steps. I doubt you'd get this type of honesty at a large carpet retailer or a big box store. I'd definitely recommend you give them a look if you are seeking carpet or flooring updates.

They were very knowledgeable about different styles and types and were able to tell us the best style for our family and our lifestyle. Their installation was done in a day, they cut up the old carpet into strips that Rumpke would haul away and cleaned up all of the installation mass. Overall very satisfied.
