About 7 years ago Mr. Copeland deftly and skillfully handled my divorce from a vicious harridan, at all times giving superb legal advice and defending my best interests. Because of his efforts, I received the best possible settlement. This year (March, 2016), due to my pending retirement from the military, I had to revisit my settlement. Mr. Copeland, once again, was extremely helpful and amazingly proactive. He personally took my calls, responded to my emails, and quickly answered my questions, including providing me, at no charge, certified copies of all required documents. "Honesty" and "integrity" are not often synonymous with "attorney.". However, with Mr. Copeland, they are. He is a fantastic attorney and an incredible human being at the same time. Mr. Copeland is the only attorney for whatever your case may be. He is honest and trustworthy you can count on his word being true. Mr. Copeland handled both my son's divorce and did an excellent divorce and did an excellent job so when a friend of mine needed a divorce attorney, I recommended Mr. Copeland. He was both honest and sympathetic. He made sure that documents were prepared and filed promptly and correctly. The thing that impressed me the most about Mr. Copeland is the concern and respect he showed both my son and my friend.

Howard, does not subscribe to the current, prevalent school of thought when it comes to business and the law. Howard does not "say whatever he has to say to get what he wants". He is an intelligent, extremely capable man of principle who handle my son's case as well as it could have been handled, with the best possible outcome and a most reasonable and correct fee. WOW! I just spoke with Mr. Copeland regarding hiring an attorney for a back child support issue. He's such an honest man, he told me I could do it for free through the Division of Child Support Enforcement. What attorney turns down a prospective fee? I recently used Mr. Copeland as my attorney when filing for divorce. Not only was I finally able to get divorced from my ex after waiting two long years, Mr. Copeland was able to help me recover funds for a vehicle my ex-husband had ruined after I was foolish enough to let him borrow it while separated. Of course this made me happy more importantly I was extremely impressed with Mr. Copeland when on the morning of my hearing he called me two hours prior to make sure I knew how to get to the court house and what court room I would need to go to. He also made sure he had all of his information correct regarding what I was asking for in the divorce during our conversation on the phone. Most attorneys show up 5 seconds before the court hearing and don't even know why they are there or anything about the case. It was very refreshing and I will definitely be using Mr. Copeland in the future if I require an attorney.

Years ago I kept an insert from the Virginian Pilot that was designed for locating a lawyer in the Hampton Roads area. I hoped to not ever need it but as it turned out I needed a lawyer who could take care of a divorce. After doing research and reading about different divorce attorneys online, I chose to seek out Mr. Copeland for a consultation. After explaining the complex nuances of my particular situation, Mr. Copeland explained what avenues would be open to me. Rather than just taking on my case, he explained that the most effective and easiest way to proceed would be one that actually prevents me from retaining him as my attorney. He took the time to explain a few of the points I'd need to know going forward. He also pointed out new questions to ask and things to consider.
