Humboldt Clothing Company was started by Angel Young. Angel has always been an entrepreneur, starting her own business at just 7 years old, selling everything from friendship bracelets to video games. Growing up in a family business selling everything under the sun, gave her the hands on experience needed to start a successful company. After many years of traveling the country in a VW Camper van doing tradeshows, flea markets, fairs, and festivals, she wanted to put down some roots, and chose Humboldt County because of the unique lifestyle it offers residents. In 2002, she was now 24 years old, and needing some direction and a way to pay the mortgage. With a high school diploma and just a few college courses Angel started Humboldt Clothing Co with a small kiosk / cart at Bayshore Mall in Eureka, CA. At first only one design was available, with just basic embroidered letters. But that one basic design is how it all started. She worked all the long hours herself in the beginning, that is even how she met her husband, who was one of the first Humboldt Clothing employees. With the two of them always brainstorming the business began to expand, and started to add on more Humboldt designs drawn up by very talented artists and graphic designers. It did not take long before this became the most desired brand in Humboldt County, California. All the locals loved having a cool place to shop that reps HUMBOLDT so proudly. Humboldt Clothing Company takes pride in providing a great place for locals and tourists to shop, and love the lifestyle that the business provides us. To keep everyone supplied with our growing line of products, and keep up with the growing demand for popular brand, we have made some changes over the years. In 2004, we expanded into an 700 square foot inline store, and now in 2009 we expanded into an enormous 3000 square foot location still at the Bayshore Mall, where it all began. We now have over 50 designs in our vault, and are always working with our team of artists to create designs that are edgy, artistic, and original, unlike any other clothing company in the world. Humboldt Clothing Company store has become well known amongst Humboldt County locals as a great destination Humboldt County tourists, who come to visit the giant redwoods, and over 100 miles of beautiful coastline every year.
