i originally came here for business at the hotel, i honestly didn't expect much after some of my hotel-restaurant experiences in other cities. i was tired, grumpy, and i needed something to eat now so i figured "what the heck". when i walked in, i was immediately impressed by how happy the staff seemed. my mood got better. the wine list looked good, of course i was in wine country, but i decided to ask my server to suggest a cocktail for me. i don't remember the name, something with fresh grapefruit, but it was delicious. at that point i decided to let the waiter suggest more items for me...i ended up getting the crab cakes, which were some of the best i've ever had this side of the mississipi, and for dinner i got their wild mushroom pasta with bacon in it - WOW. to die for. i'm still thinking about it. the gentleman suggested some "award winning desserts" but by this time i was too full. after some friendly conversation i got a killer glass of zinfandel and took it back to my room. the food was great, but it was really the friendliness of the people that really made the experience for me. this place was much better than most hotel restaurants - and not nearly as expensive. two thumbs up!
