Right out of high school she worked first in her family's business and then in her own business operating an auto service and gas station in Highland, Indiana. After moving to Arizona in 1996, other businesses include contractors, publishers, real estate companies, retail franchises, and many more. Mary graduated from Purdue University in 1996 with a B.A. in Accounting and Human Resource Management and earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2006.
