Jeffs landscaping is by far the most honest Contractor we have dealt with. We don't consider posts done by vicious people who don't get what they want and why are you complaining if they turned you down ? The contractor must have sensed something to shy away. It's unfortunate that most consumers these days are dishonest. The horror stories we've heard from contractors on how the customer tries to threaten them with the registrar of contractors in an attempt to not pay their bill. Oh well. Jeffs is the best and most reasonable landscape contractor who came highly recommended so.... we hired him.

We hired this company to fix issues left behind by another landscape company. Jeff pointed out many issues I wasn't aware of when he initially came to look over the project. We hired him, paid him half down and the job was started and completed on Friday afternoon. We then went out of town for the weekend and were too busy on Monday to walk through the property to make sure everything met our expectations. Jeff left me a voice message on Monday afternoon stating he intended to come over Tuesday to pick up his final payment. We still had not been able to get outside to look things over, but I had the check for him anyway. He never called to set up a time to come over. Instead he just showed up at 9 am Tuesday morning. I was not expecting him to just show up. I was in the bathroom and not able to get to the door. As soon as he got back to his vehicle, he called and left me a very very nasty voicemail stating he didn't know what kind of games I was playing, but he had looked into our garage and saw my car, so therefore I was in the wrong for not running to the door. Totally unwarranted. It had not even been two business days since the job was finished and he stated in his message that if he didn't have his payment of $470 in hand by 11 am that day (Tuesday), he was turning us over to collections. I was absolutely floored. Especially since we had discussed an ongoing maintenance plan with him. The work was average and after the way I was treated I would never ever recommend this company. Jeff was a complete jerk!

VERY unprofessional handling of the job proposal. Jeff low-ball bid to get the job. We walked the site 2x, and had 4 revised bids...EVERY detail of cost & scope were covered. THE BAIT.



Then at job kickoff, Jeff emailed, not called, and typed "we feel there is an issue with funds, so we're passing on the job." THE SWITCH.



Absolutely NO fund issues were present. In fact, I had a check for 1/2 of the entire job waiting at my house. He obviously had second thoughts, and rather than taking the high road and admitting he over-extended, he put the blame elsewhere.



We shook hands, and to me that's gold. Apparently not with Jeff. He wasted my time and effort as he undercut his competition, then trumped-up an unsubstantiated claim to get out of his low-ball proposal. That was his right...but in doing so, Jeff exposed his true colors and how he conducts his business....and that isn't right.



Fortunately for me there are plenty of other, hopefully more reputable companies, to which I will bring my business.
