JHR Environmental Testing is a proud member of the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating that specializes in lead paint inspection and environmental testing. Our services include but are not limited to initial inspections, risk assessments, re-inspections, asbestos detection and post-compliance assessments. JHR Environmental Testing (JHR) dedicates most of its time to performing lead paint inspections, risk assessments and the subsequent clearance inspections on inner-city residential properties. During our 23 years in operation, JHR has performed over 35,000 inspections, which include initial inspections, risk assessments, re-inspections, and post-compliance assessments. For every violation found, our inspectors record the condition of the paint, what structural component it has been applied to, and whether children might access the surface. These findings are compiled in a detailed formal report that the leaders and owners will rely on to locate and address violations. The compliance and risk assessment process also requires us to sample for lead in dust and soil. We use RMD-LPA-1's for determining how much lead is in paint, and when outside analysis is required for testing of dust, soil or paint chips we use federal and state certified laboratories. We also work with cities, community development corporations, and redevelopment agencies that are grantees or sub-grantees of HUDs Lead Hazard Reduction and Demonstration grants.
