Poor insulation and air leakage are leading causes of energy waste in many homes and offices. Insulation saves money, not to mention our nation's limited energy resources. It can also make any space more comfortable by helping to maintain a consistent temperature. Ceilings, floors and walls will be warmer in the winter months and cooler in the summer months. Insulation can also act as a sound barrier, reducing noise pollution from neighboring rooms. It is possible to add insulation to almost any home or business, new or old. You may be able to do the job yourself if the structural framing is accessible. However, not all insulation jobs are created equal. For the majority of home and business owners, the most feasible solution is to hire the services of a quality insulation contractor. That's where JL Insulation can step in! Blown In Blanket System Using a patented process, insulation is blown into exterior (sidewalls) walls and/or interior walls (for sound-proofing). This method ensures that even the most odd-sized wall cavities are filled with densely-packed insulation. Therefore, a more thermally efficient barrier is created than with standard batt insulation. The BIB System creates a higher R-value and thus reduces the infiltration of air and noise into the wall space. The BIB System is done by specially trained installers who have extensive knowledge of the process. We use only BIBS-approved material on our job sites. JL Insulation has been a contractor of the Blown in Blanket System since 1995.

Don't use this business. We hired JL to do a full insulation for our home including removal of old insulation (attic), new insulation in the attic, and blow in into the walls. We started getting visible mold in certain corners of the house after the project. A mold specialist and a different insulation company said it was due to the insulation being done incorrectly. A JL rep came and although they agreed the insulation was done incorrectly, they claim the owner is now out of business, and won't offer to correct the insulation. Stay away from this company if you want a job well done.
