Provided by YP.comJohn Casablancas has given me the chance to make my dreams come true by teaching me and helping me develop what I needed to enter the world of modeling and acting that I wanted but didn't know how to start. I have gained wonderful friends, mentors, and so much support from the staff that I am happy to be part of John Casablancas. It has been the best decision I have ever made!

Provided by YP.comJohn Casablancas is hands down the best agency in Connecticut! I was a talent with this agency 10 years ago. Unfortunately life got in the way, but recently I was able to come back for a refresher class and I was booked for a shoot as I was taking the refresher course! The staff here is very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and thanks for making me a part of your family. Shout out to all the J.C. staff and Tina for being an incredible person and always having the best interest at heart. If you are serious about becoming a model/talent, John Casablancas is the place to start!

Provided by YP.comI have always known I wanted to be a model. So, once I graduated I started looking for a good school, knowing it would take both time and energy. After a week or two of research, I found John Casablancas. One visit and I know it was the perfect fit. The agency has a great staff and teachers who are all eager to help. The classes are small ( about 8 to 12) so you are able to get a lot of one to one time. There is a positive atmosphere, and you are encouraged to believe in yourself and you develop confidence. There is a Facebook site that posts different types of auditions you can apply for. They are updated as they become available. A monthly meeting that reviews all recent changes, and upcoming major events. I completed my courses, and have graduated and received my diploma. This experience has forever changed my Life. I hope you get a chance to experience the same journey at John Casablancas.

Provided by YP.comSigned off with them back in 2015. It had been a great two years with this agency and continuing to work with them. They are experts in teaching you everything you need and beyond amazing reguarding representation. Big thanks to everyone at JC, especially Tina and Stacy!

Provided by YP.comJC Connecticut outperformed to my expectations. As a skeptical parent, I am a believer in JC's ability to see raw talent, craft a tailored program and produce outstanding results. Of course, this business is a two way street so both parties need to focus 100%. And JC did. My daughter went to Intl Modeling and Talent Agency in January and, through her efforts as well as specialized focus from Tina the JC director, my daughter has agents in LA and NYC and just signed with a NYC management company. This progress would not have been possible without superior guidance from JC Connecticut.

Provided by YP.comI was so hesitant about becoming a part of a modeling and acting agency at my age however the agency graciously informed me that middle aged women were indeed in demand for modeling. I made the commitment because, if nothing else, I knew it would be a learning experience for me and another avenue for growth. I absolutely loved the whole experience and then decided to move into the acting program which I enjoyed even more. It was all very hard work and demanding of your dedication but well worth it. The instructors and director are dedicated to our success. The most frustrating part is that we have to be patient. Remaining active with the company and following the guidelines will assist in reaching our goals. I have been fortunate enough to have worked in modeling for hair and skin care and promotional modeling and in acting for educational and business videos. All of the clients I have worked for have been extremely professional. I look forward to obtaining a contract in either modeling or acting someday! But until then I am grateful for each booking as well as my training and my experiences thus far and the professionalism in these areas I have developed. Thank you Tina and JC!

Provided by YP.comIt is all about opportunity. Give yourself the chance to be seen by all your friends and family on the big screen or on the runway!
I am 28 years young and this is my story:
My cousin who worked for JC at the time invited me down to see her at Foxwoods in the fall of 2015 where JC was having an event where you could get your picture taken and walk in front of four major NYC scouts. I said what the hell why not. I do not see my cousin much being that she is on the other side of my family tree and lives in another state. So with that being said I took the trip down, hung out with her when she had a second to chit chat here and there, got my picture taken and walked the runway, played some poker 0=), then went back to the event as it was wrapping up to hang out.
A few weeks later I received a phone call from John Casablancas and they asked me to show up come in to discuss the possibility of becoming a model and or an actor. The thought of this made me smile so I took the trip over and made the decision to invest in myself to become a model. I took the acting classes afterwards, which I would recommend to help be better rounded. I could not be happier with my decision to have taken this opportunity to be in this profession. There is more to just the modeling and acting classes, a lot of what I learned from both have helped me be a better individual. Everything ranging from my posture, how to eat even healthier than I already am, communication and a sense of style where I have pretty much did a 180 in my wardrobe.
The classes are well instructed. For the modeling class I had a nice mix of talent instruct me on walking, turning, poses, how to apply makeup (yes guys you will have to wear makeup and no it is not as bad as it sounds), and basic exercises to stay fit as well as other practices. Each teacher had a unique taste of what it is to be a model. They will push you to be your best and then some and they will critique you from the moment you step into class until the time you leave. As for the acting classes the main instructor took a summer vacation so again I had a mix of instructors with a vast range of experiences from movies, theater, commercials, voiceovers and then some. We had to memorize three commercials for our final grade which if you put the time in once you get them (weeks one, two and three) by week ten you should have no problem passing.
Do not get me wrong though, it is not all peaches and cream. There is homework given in the classes, you do have to practice, you have to update your pictures that are taken of you every three to six months, and for the parents who are thinking about sending your children here understand that your childs discipline and listening skills will go a long way.
So where am I today? As of right now with not even a year under my belt I have taken part in two opportunities. One playing a background character in a Lifetime movie “Amish Witches – The True Story of Holmes County” (Which premiers October 29th 2016 8/7c) and I took part in a commercial for a health clinic. I have missed some opportunities because I do work another job with limited time off but taking advantage of everyone that I can get a hold of. My best advice is if you have ever even had the thought of becoming ether a model and or an actor, take the time to at least make the phone call and set up a time where you can hear your options. You will be happy enough with that decision alone.

Provided by YP.comMy youngest daughter started classes at JC when she was 10. I vividly remember (gently) grilling our Admissions Rep as I assumed there was a "catch" or "scam". I was wrong. Due to this program my daughter's self-confidence went through the roof (quite a gift to give a 10 year old). There were never any promises made, just a chance to grow and learn with great support along the way. Sometimes she was right for a part, other times not - no big deal. She landed some paid gigs early on, did some free work for the experience (she always had a good time!) and even appeared as an extra in a Dustin Hoffman/Kathy Bates movie! She is now 13 and recently shot a commercial for Six Flags New England's Superman VR ride! We can't say enough good about the staff at JC - they are caring, supportive and available when needed.

Provided by YP.comJohn Casablanca's Modeling and Acting Agency has pushed my modeling career so far ever since I graduated the agency in 2013. With the help of all the staff, instructors, and of course the president Tina herself; has most certainly enhanced my positive attitude in the modeling industry. If I didn't learn how to get on a runway properly, put on makeup accordingly, or know how to treat my body, I don't know where I would be today. Without this agency I wouldn't have worked with over hundreds of local markets or photographers here in CT. This agency has built my confidence and I am so thankful every day to call JC my second home!

Provided by YP.comThe interactions I've had with John Casablancas of CT have all been refreshingly positive (note that all branches of JC are owned individually). My younger sister has participated in their training courses and thoroughly enjoyed a different kind of professional development. The team here is hard working and the agency looks out for the best possible opportunities available to its clients. I highly recommend that any prospective models and actors check out the only *licensed* modeling and acting agency in Connecticut.

Provided by YP.comI have been working with John Casablancas of Connecticut for more than 6 years, and have nothing but great things to say about them. The professionals at John Casablancas make no claims that you will “get famous overnight” . They truly educate you, and walk you through the process of learning how to act and model. Tina has an excellent reputation, and is someone that I admire for her professional character and integrity. I would recommend John Casablancas of Connecticut to anyone interested in pursuing dreams of acting or modeling.

Provided by YP.comJohn Casablancas has been a very positive experience for me. I recently worked for Chico's, Jade Jeans, Columbia Dental Commercial, and Union Savings Bank. Wow! I am very proud and thankful, but I know I could have not done it without the agency. The classes are helpful because it sets a foundation to becoming a great actress/actor and model. The necessary skills are taught to succeed in the industry and you build confidence. I recommend both acting and modeling classes. The staff is pleasant and efficient which I hold in high regard. Thank-you! Love Grace 2011 graduate

Provided by YP.comI am a practicing attorney who has within the last couple of years started modeling and acting with John Casablancas. My experience with them has been terrific to say the least. What I appreciate the most was the honesty of the President when I first met with her, and every time thereafter. She made no promises and educated me on how the industry works. It is easy for individuals to become disgruntled or upset when jobs do not come their way. It is also easy for individuals to sit back and show no interest in working expecting this industry to be a success over night type of thing. Any agent is going to look for the model / actor who they know they can rely upon to be professional and effective at the job. The only way this can be accomplished is by being proactive as a model/actor and showing you are ready, willing and able to work. I have also enrolled my 5 year old within the agency and she has been extremely excited and has had an overall wonderful experience. It has boosted her confidence and helped her come out of her shell. This agency has allowed me a second stream of income to support my family, something I will always be grateful for. The JC staff is my family away from home. They care about their students / models / actors and try their very best to help in any way possible. Very happy I made the choice to join their team!
