This review is for Ken Caryl Painting Inc. The current address for this company is 891 S. Pennsylvania St. Denver, CO 80209

This company is currently advertising on their website that they are a BBB accredited business and they are NOT. They are illegally using the BBB logo to lure customers in. They are currently being investigated by the BBB. I have had so many negative issues with this company as they were the company that bid and built my deck on the back of our house. They deceitfully used cheap treated lumber instead of the REDWOOD that was contracted, hoping that I wouldn't know the difference. Its about $1000 savings to them and resulting in a 6 month old deck that is warping, cupping, twisting and cracking. When confronted with the shady act, The owner, Rick Kubacki denied and lied directly to my face, even though I have a contract AND the Home Depot invoices proving my point. They also took 28 days to build the deck when the contract stated 5 days to complete. They were sloppy, left trash and 100's of nails and screws in my newly landscaped back yard. They tipped over a gas can and destroyed a section of my new sod. They were full of empty promises. They never showed up when they said they would and many times the crew was sitting around for hours waiting on directions from a boss who was not prioritizing this job in any way. Their website promises that they will never add anything extra to the bill because their estimates are so accurate, but then they attempted to charge me an extra $670 for something that they missed in the bid process. Finally, when I refused to pay for the deck, the owner came up with a way to sweeten the deal. He offered to discount the job $400 and in the Spring of 2013, he would return to the job and sand and seal the deck at his cost. He came out last week and stained my deck without sanding it at all and then lied to me again when he said he returned another day to finish staining the spindles. He bold face lied to me about sanding the deck. The staining is sloppy and has drips everywhere and is sub par workmanship. The owner is a compulsive liar and has no work ethics or morals or professionalism. This company is a fraudulent company and works out of his home, trying to doop the public into thinking he is a large legitimate company.

DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE LIED TO AND RECEIVE SUB-PAR, DECEITFUL, POOR QUALITY WORK.
