After being terribly dissapointed by the country stations in the Phoenix area over the last five to 10 years, I decided to try KNIX one last listen to hear the new duo on their first day. Of course I am talking about Ben and Matt along with their crew and the new morning show. I had found Tim and Willy to be so full of themselves and so uncaring about the audience that I had refused to listen. Same was true of Dave Pratt at KMLE. Even my grandchildren listen to Ben and Matt. They are a refreshing new addition to Arizona Music and because Matt is not familiar with country music, they play a huge assortment of new and old country so that while he is learning, we get entertained! Instead of us being just an audience and feeling as though the DJ's are there for the money only, we now can feel as though this duo is a good friend, welcome to bring their families and crew to come over for dinner or even a weekend visit. Lesteners can call in with a plea to be heard in an emergency, dedicate a song to a special someone, give advice to either another listener or even Ben and/or Matt. This station now belongs to the listeners and we can say that we listen to our friends on our country station. I really believe that pure good luck or fate or whatever brought Ben and Matt together and we are reaping the rewards. Long live the new Kings of morning radio!!! Of course, I love the entire 24 hours of KNIX and believe that Ben and Matt brought new energy to the entire station. How do I rate 102.5 KNIX FM radio? They are the best anywhere, anytime and rate twice the stars you can provide.
