I thought I was the only one

I have an almost identical story as the reviewer above. I would never post anything like this but people should know what they're getting into.

I have an older projection TV that gave out. I called Park's TV and Mr. Park came to fix the circuitboard. He charged me $445. Not wanting to replace my TV, I paid him. Big mistake. Less than a day later, the TV won't turn on again. I call Mr. Park and he promises to come by and fix it. He makes 6 appointments with me. Each time he never shows up. Sometimes he calls and gives some excuse about being busy or something. Finally his son calls and says that they need to take the TV to their house to repair it. I say okay. He comes and takes the TV. 6 weeks later no TV. No call. Nothing. I call them and they say they can't fix the TV. I say then give me my money back. They say okay.

It's 3 months later and no check. Nothing. I call John Park (the son) and he says, "I don't know what happened, I'll get the check out to you right away".

Of course, no check.

We're in the process of filing a lawsuit against Park's TV. But perhaps they've been down this road before because they won't even accept the certified mail for the lawsuit. I'm short 1 bigscreen TV and $445.

Unless you want an experience like this. Please don't call Park's TV. It's excuse after excuse after excuse. Not only did they fail at the repair. They took my TV. And I still haven't gotten my money back.

What a nightmare!!!

On Sunday, 2/22/09, I call this shop and ask them to come out to replace a bulb in my LCD. An older guy arrives about 1.5 hours later than scheduled. He removes my TV's bulb asks for $260 deposit (I give him $240 cash) and he states he'll be back Thursday to install the new bulb. Thursday comes and he says he'll be here at 9pm; he doesn't show. He calls my house at 11:25pm and wakes up the household; I refuse to answer. I call him Friday and he says he's too busy to come out and his son explains they have a family obligation and will not be able to come out Friday but does promise to call me Saturday at 10am. 10am comes and goes so I call at noon and the father tells me he'll be here at 6pm. We leave to run errands and return at 5:30pm...we wait. 6:15pm rolls around and I call again. This time the father says he's running late and that he'll be here at 8:30pm...9pm rolls around and nothing- no answer, no call, no show. At 9:40pm I get a call from the son giving me a serious of stories to try and explain the reasons for not being here. I call again at 10:05pm and again no answer. At 10:15pm, I call again (upset this time) and speak with the son again who yells at me for me being upset and inpatient! I demand a refund and he hangs up on me. This has been my worst experience with a business ever. My time is very valuable and I would never take the time to write a negative review but I have to warn other consumers to be weary of dealing these people. Complain with the Better Business Bureau is next. They advertise as Park's TV & Home Theatre in the phone book. They're ad is very attractive but don't be fooled! (818) 248-2505; (818) 760-0108; (818) 840-0410 There's nothing professional about these people!
