we'll go back

as a newy married(military!) couple moving into our first apartment AND expecting our first baby soon, we were looking for a glider chair. sierra vista, az didn't really have anything that wasn't antique, out of our price range, or just UGLY. that was UNTIL we went to the LAZBOY store there. everyone was super nice to us, and we only went there because we had gotten something in the mail about a sale they were having. we thought everything was going to be out of our price range, but it wasn't. we were able to find a rocking recliner that was delivered the next day with no problems. i am moving to savannah, ga in a few days and will need new furniture and will be shopping lazboy first and probably last!!!

Color fade furniture

The store and most of all the people working it are fine maybe even fabulous but the merchandise is terrible. Deal with there customer service and eventually someone will show up and take a picture of the problem. It's always going to be your fault, even though I was in bed for 8 months and had an extended warranty. I received a letter stating, there's nothing they can do. When I called, I received a typical "run around" with the proverbial manager "out for the time being".



Even when I asked for information on how I can repair it myself, they never sent it to me. The (laughing) secretary said, "there nothing you can do about it". I was on chemotherapy at the time and maybe this round they win. I'll never stop telling people my story, if you buy from them, you've been told. I have nothing to gain by my letter.



I'm not weak now, recovery leaves a lot of memories. I will say that the manager of the independent store in Scottsdale was fabulous and tried to help, only at the time I wasn't able to follow through with all the suggestions. That I apologize for.

Not Happy Either

Went there specifically to buy a recliner for my husband. I ordered actually 3 pieces but then they couldn't get the sofa in the fabric I wanted so I went somewhere else....Ordered two chairs...was told that I could expect my chairs in the time frame I required ( 6 weeks) only to learn that this is a very big lie. They cannot deliver for 8-10 weeks firm but the store personnel are told to lie so they can try to get the customer to hang on those last two-four weeks. I finally had to cancel the recliner and only order the recliner for me...after I bought it, it did not work as smooth as the store one. I will never buy from there again.

I will never buy from them again!

I ordered a non-rocking recliner from them. (They said that is a special order and would cost $200.00 more) It took 4 months of harassment to get it delivered. Never again!

Why in the world did I find them listed under custom furniture makers? I was looking for someone to make some custom chairs to go with a really cool table my grandfather built. Not these guys!

Great Experience

I bought a whole living room of furniture just before Christmas and couldn't be happier. They offer a great selection and so far I am finding the quality to be excellent. The designer even came to my house to make suggestions and help with room arrangements. One table was on back order and took a little longer than the rest but I didn't mind. Everyone there was so friendly and pleasant I wouldn't hesitate to buy there again.

I purchased a sofa from La-Z-Boy 20 years ago and all of the seams in the back ripped right after the 1 year warranty. I decided to give them another chance and purchased a recliner for my husband's birthday. Again, just after the 1 year warranty expired, the reclining mechanism has fallen apart. The store will replace the parts at no charge, but will not cover the labor charge to fix it. Needless to say, I am not very happy with La-Z-Boy products or customer service policies.

Awful Service

I came in to get my husband a birthday gift. I was looking for a coffee table. I found just what I wanted and wanted to buy it and take it with me. At first I was told that they never sold any items off the floor. It would take a few weeks to order it and get it in. After I asked again they then checked and found out they had several of the same tables in stock and on the floor. The manager then said "I'll sell it to you but you will have to get it out of here and get it to your car". She knew I could not do that on my own. She was making it so difficult for me that I gave up. I own a small retail store myself and would have been horrified if one of my employees said "OK if I must sell it to you, then you Mr. Customer will have to get it our of here". Lazy Boy must have plenty of business and I'm sure this manager didn't own the store.

Chaise Lounge

I purchased a chaise lounge from this business about 2 years ago. The delivery men were very rude and seemed upset that the piece was so heavy. When they set the furniture in place I noticed that it had a tear in it and that the wood legs were all scratched up. It turned out that the piece they delivered had been pulled right off the floor. They brought it back, which made them even less happy!

The second chaise that they delivered seemed in good shape. After a few days I noticed a rip in the material in the same place the first one had been torn. It also had a staple sticking out of the side that my young daughter cut her armon - she still has a scar!

When I called to report the tear in the furniture, the store asked me for the white tag on the furniture. Apparently this tag is like a receipt and is left on the bottom of the furniture without the consumers knowledge. Well, I had no tag and they never took care of repairing or replacing the chaise.

I gave the $750.00 piece of furniture to a young couple who just had a baby and didn't mind the tear. The pillow that sits on the back of the furniture also had holes in it by then, so I threw them away and purchased throw pillows.

I could not have had a worse experience! I wasted my money and I wasted my time.

I tell all of my friends and colleagues about my experience, I hope you too take my advice and do not purchase lazyboy furniture!
