They were excellent. My daughter was taking some of our stuff and couldn't afford much so Brenda worked hard for her to do it as inexpensively as possible with a U-Hall . Now that I've unpacked everything I know how carefully they packed every little thing and all boxes were carefully labeled. Very easy to get the exact dates we needed on pretty short notice. The people you give the $$ to are the same ones who show up at your new location which seems not to be the case with so many companies now.

I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for moving and storage services. I had an acceptable moving experience with them years ago. But my latest experience has been nothing but an expensive, months long headache.

A significant amount of my property (furniture, lawn equipment, etc.) has gone "missing" while under their care. They have refused all reasonable attempts to resolve the issue creating an expensive and time consuming situation. They refused to refund a large storage fee that I paid early, but ended up not using. They charged me to deliver the "missing" property, and when that property was not delivered, refused to refund that charge.

I was given various excuses about what happened to the missing property. At one point I was told the property was moved to the private residence of the former owner. Their story constantly changes. Each story is more absurd than the last.

Property that was being stored was kept in a trailer with holes along the floor. There was significant damage to remaining stored items from mice and mold.

They delivered someone else’s furniture and boxes of household items mixed in with my own. If you use their services, I strongly recommend you take a thorough inventory before and after to make sure you have everything that is yours and do not accidentally accept things that are not.

The estimate for moving was $1,500, but I ended up paying $3,000 and still don’t have all my property after 3 months.

They were a light from heaven. Another company we hired called us the day they were supposed to be there and said they couldn't make it. I called them at least 10 times and no response at all. We were set to close on our house the next day. My daughter called Brenda at Lakes Area Storage and she said she could have a crew there By 3:00pm. They came and proceeded to load the whole house in 6 hours. They were very professional. I would recommend these people any day of the week!

Absolutely the GREATEST! They literally rescued us when another moving company we had hired walked out on us within 15 seconds of stepping in the door. After a harsh phone call to the supervisor I called Lakes Storage and they were able to come, pack, load, and unload the following day and they DID IT ALL IN ONE DAY! After explaining what we were up against, Brad (the supervisor) said they'd be at our apartment first thing the next morning with extra help and have us packed, loaded, and delivered all the same day. They delivered 110%. We were so grateful gladly gave an extra $700 so each member of the team would get a $100 bonus. Everyone at our apt complex who observed them during the move said they were extremely impressed with how they performed the task at hand and couldn't believe how much care were taking with our belongings. By the way, NOT ONE DAMAGED ITEM THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE MOVE. The guys are the greatest and we can't give enough praise and "thumbs up" to them.
