Provided by YP.comHarold,
Thanks for the return call tonight. I actually spoke to Phillip while he was here at the house. We walked around the project via spotlight and he gave his approval and admired the work that has been done. He, as well as my father-in-law, were impressed with the quality and consistency of the work. My father-in-law first mentioned that he was impressed at how well managed the work site was. He expected things to be a mess, and a disaster. Basically his words were, "Now this is a professionally maintained site. This is somebody who cares about doing things right."
The questions I had were answered by Phillip. He assured me that although, the more drainage pipes the merrier, the current design will work. The most important part is keeping the black mesh over the drain clean, and not smeared or covered with dirt/clay. I believe he relayed this to you during the call at our house, emphasizing that protecting and filling up the area behind the palm trees is the most crucial place to start tomorrow.
In short, I know I have been more involved and asked more questions than most folks do, but unfortunately, that is the only way I know how to work. I can tell you, I have a much better understanding and appreciation for the work you have done now. Even Phillip said we should take pictures before everything is completed to show what an amazing job was done. The high marks you received from an engineer and geologist have to count for something.
It sounds like you might have some similar work across the street. Between our house, the neighbor, and the new build down the street, I'd say you'll have a lock on the entire neighborhood as it builds up.

Provided by YP.comIs it odd that the 5 star rating below is from HaroldJ??
Harold Jones is a fraud. The job he did on our house was planted with plants too small, withered and died in he following months. This went on for several replanting of our landscape. A year and a half later, the plants still have not matured even under his guidance.
Our sprinkler system he installed has required multiple head replacements due to inferior product installed.
Overall, lasting impressions has made a lasting impression of horrible professional service and terrible work-product.
Do not hire him or his company.

Provided by YP.comDon't take the risk. MY experience was that the "Lasting Impression" was paying to replace dead trees and plants, and trees that were warrantied for a year. When the trees died, where was Harold?? WHO KNOWS!!! Wouldn't return calls (over a 2 month period, I called probably 15 times), and did not fix the leaking, nonfunctional sprinkler system he installed. I've spent thousands of dollars fixing his shoddy work.

Provided by YP.comWe can't say enough about our finished project that was completed by Lasting Impressions Landscape. We had a rather large Outdoor structure, Fire place and Flagstone patio constructed. They provided us with a design, a schedule of events and made it come to life, right on time!
Great job and thank you.

Provided by YP.comWe were referred to Lasting Impressions Landscape by friends of ours that have used their services a few years ago. We chose them based on our completely satisfied friends, plant selection, lay-out and how the project looked after maturity. They reworked our enitre front yard and built a custom "Fire Pit" in our back yard that over exceeded all expectations. We can't say enough about the craftmanship, care, attention to detail and management of the project.
Thank you for making our Landscape experience a great one!

After discussing my yard issues and concerns, Harold quickly had a vision for my yard. The project was complete in three days, which included redo of sprnklers, addressing drainage issues and new landscaping. Great Job! I can't wait until spring and summer to see all the new color in my yeard. Thank you!

Provided by YP.comLasting Impressions Landscape completely ripped us off !!! Harold Jones is nothing more than a Con-Man and I wish I knew of his long reputation before I hired him to do the sprinkler system, complete landscaping, fence and brick/stone columns for my newly completed Estate Home. My experience was much like the previous Reviewer. We agreed to pay 50% up front and the rest upon completion of the work. Harold also came to us wanting payment in full before the work was completed but we refused. It was obvious almost immediately that he was trying to install plants that were much smaller than he bid. All the plants were wilted and many of them looked dead even before he planted them. We tryed to call him to tell him not to plant them at our house, but he would not answer his phone or return the calls. He sent his workers, who didn't speak english, to plant them anyway while we were not there to stop them. When we complained he refused to do anything about it. Many of the plants were completely dead within a few weeks and never grew back. He was also supposed to completely sod the entire front and side yards, and the back yard just past the pool. He did not prep the ground first and just threw the sod down without rolling or watering it in. He did not sod the side yards all the way to the property line as we had agreed. Instead, he left a 20 foot by 200 foot long strip bare. When we tryed to talk to him about it, he said that we would have to pay him more to get sod in that part of the yard, even though his bid clearly stated that would be included. I talked to one of his Subcontractors about the problems and was told that Harold always shorts his customers on plant materials. He also shorted us on the agreed on sprinkler system coverage. The agreement for the sprinkler system was the same as for the Sod. He was going to irrigate the entire front, side and back yard to a point just behind the pool. When he shorted the big strip of sod in the side yard, he also refused to put in that part of the sprinkler system, so we couldn't even throw down seeds and water them. We also had numerous problems with the sprinkler system including leaks, buried heads, no head adjustmenst were done, and a broken pipe next to our new pool caused flooding and wash a lot of the supporting soil out from under the pool requiring a lot of repairs. He refused to return to our property to perform warranty work on any aspect of the project. The stone columns were to be built on 2ftx2ftx6ft deep piers because one side of the property had a retaining wall so the soil was recently backfilled and not yet completely settled. This was a big concern of mine so I talked to him in depth about how the piers would be done. Instead, he drilled an 8" diameter hole only 3 feet deep, so within a month, 3 of the columns began to lean over as the dirt settled around the retaining wall. He has also refused to do anything about this problem. The only part of the project that went well was the wrought iron fence built by his Subcontractor, Ecco Systems. The fence is beautiful, but I've since learned that Harold Jones and Lasting Impressions Landscape, the General Contractor of my project, did not pay the fence subcontractor and therefore Ecco Systems has filed a law suit to collect. We basically wasted the $45,000 we paid him !!! Even the beautiful fence is now being ripped apart by the falling columns.
