Provided by YP.comUnfortunately I don't think this review will really help to many people, because it seems like Lightning Roadside is usually dispatched by a third party. This was also the case in by situation. I bought a new car battery through Pep Boys, and 6 months later my car was stuck on the side of the road from what appeared to be a dead battery. One of the Pep Boys store workers told me that their 800 number would be able to help me. Without many other options I was forced to pay Pep Boys $65 for a jump, and only after payment was received they told me I had to wait TWO HOURS for lightning roadside to show up.
When the "technician" finally showed up in his personal car he was unable to help me. My car would start with a basic jump, and seeing how the "tech" was in his own personal vehicle there was nothing else he could do to help me.... 2 hours and $65 later.
IF AT ALL POSSIBLE AVOID!!!

Provided by YP.comI'm not sure what was worse, the unprofessional attitude, the dishonesty or the rudeness. I actually felt attacked when I called to ask them to make good on a warranty for a battery they'd installed - that failed. They had never provided a receipt though I asked for one more than once - When it died long before the warranty was up, I was stranded. Now living 40 minutes north of where I used to - I had no choice but to bring the car to my local mechanic, who noted that the battery appeared to be years old - not a new one that was 1 1/2 years old. I called Lightning Roadside to get some form of reimbursement and the owner was nasty, wouldn't tell me what the actual cost of the battery was (despite the fact that EVERY mechanic I know gives that breakdown). I never got a dime back - but I got an earful from a nasty, cocky man who said he was the owner.
