Provided by YP.comFriend bought book at LB; you could see that someone had left imprint on cover from writing on paper with ballpoint pen,but friend didn't mind and she paid full price.
Book had been sold in paper bag, so one corner of book had slightly rounded corner from sitting in the LB store bag, though it was easily refreshed by hand.
Owner said she could only exchange, not make refund.
Not acceptable. Would it be to you?
I said that I was not a customer of the store, and I left it with her, saying that she could settle it with my friend, since my friend is a rabid-reader and favorite-level customer.
BUT, when a customer comes with a need/problem, it is the business owner's opportunity to gain a lifetime customer. I would have come back, having not shopped there since former owner sold store to her (Deal Safrit - who I'm absolutely sure would have not said a word while he was forking over the cash :) ).
I WOULD have come back.
