I really needed help with my mortg payment.. The ARM just got too high for me to try to keep up with. The modification has made the payments much lower now, with a very low interest rate, and my rate will only go up 1% for next two years, and stay fixed after that. AFter talking to the attorneys they let me know I qualify for a loan modification and went after it for me. WHat I paid them is basically what I'm saving per month on my home. We tryed working with the lender ourselves and got no where. The bank was ready to just forclose. I was skeptical as to how much help they could provide in getting a modification, but they offered a free consultation which I took advantage of, they know what they are talking about.
