Empire Heating & AC which used to be United Heating & AC is a total SCAM PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We had them install a brand new AC system in our home summer 2010 and now a couple of weeks before summer of 2011 we go to turn it on and it's not cooling the house the way it used to. So we called Empire to come out and check out the new AC unit and to do the annual maintenance they never showed up for the appointment or called and now every time I call I just get viocemail. This is so frustating we spent almost $3000 on this AC unit and it's not operating properly and they won't even answer the phone to service the customer!

WHAT A TOTAL SCAM............

This guys are amazing on time reasonable and really friendly not to mention the technician calls when he's on his way. My ac broke down on a sunday around midnight, I called empire and the dispatch was friendly and had a tech @ my door in less than an hour. He fix the problem quickly and got my home cool Again. Thanks empire

My sister got ripped off! Case in point:



They installed a water heater for my sister after she called their number in the Chicago Yellow Pages. They came out in a white van with the markings of Empire Heating and Cooling and installed a water heater and cause $600.00 worth of damage to her plumbing and ceiling. They did not reimburse her at all. After her basement flooded, several days later, she called them for followup after the water heater failed to start. She called numerous times, each time they promised to send a repair person, which surprise, surprise, never showed up!!! I went to their place of "business", 1137 W. Taylor in Chicago, University Village. Their place of business, 1137 W. Taylor is, in fact, a UPS drop box location. The owner of the UPS store stated the business does not exist and he keeps getting their mail. These guys scam the elderly and the naive into buying inferior heating and/or air conditioning equipment, most likely stolen, and do not install properly! They have no followup service. They are not real installers or dealer of heating and/or air conditioning equipment.The Better Business Bureau has numerous complaints from victims. Stay way!!!
