My dog was under his care for 16 years. She was having a swollen nose, probably a tumor. We Han been to him 4 times in a month and a half, the last the day prior. We woke up Saturday morning and there was blood everywhere she laid down. I called because the clinic was oven until 1:00 and it was 10:30. HE REFUSED TO SEE HER. We had to take her to an emergency vet! I’m sure this vet is very good and probably did the best for her. But the vet was not the one who saw her for 16 years! We had to make decisions we weren’t prepare or ready to make. I’ve been second guessing
Myself for hours, but it’s too late. I feel that I would have been better prepared if the vet who had been treating her for that long had evaluated her. I have been, and continue to actively be working as a nurse for 51 years.. I have never refused to come in or work extra when a patient needed it . In fact Ihave been sent to another hospital to help with the new COVID crisis. But keep in mind this obviously uncaring vet refused work a little extra to care for a patient he had care for 17 years!
