Provided by YP.comI would NEVER recommend Marling Lumber / Homeworks for a kitchen remodel. Our experience was terrible and we should have stopped immediately when (after our original island had been removed) we saw that our Marling Designer (Cyndi Cheramy) had designed the island roughly 7" too narrow so it didn't cover the footprint of the original island. We told her that was to be priority #1 - that didn't happen! That 1st mistake resulted in us having to contact a floor professional to refinish the wood floor in that area. Marling did actually cover his actual bill but nothing more. Why compensate for our troubles in contacting him and arranging our schedules to be here the THREE times he needed to be here to get the work done? Several other issues came up during our build that were wrong and we pointed them out along the way but the project kept being pushed on by the designer despite our concerns over the quality. To top off this experience, John Malizio (Marling's IT Director/Controller) was totally unprofessional and insulting to my husband when HE contacted us asking "what [we] would like Marling to do in order to make [us] happy with [our] purchase." It has been an unbelievable and expensive experience with absolutely no compensation on Marling's part outside of the floor bill. No compensation for the rest of the heartache and trouble we endured... and here we sit, insulted. Unbelievable... did I mention the crooked granite countertops? aye aye aye...
