A coworker lost their wedding ring in the snow here in Sioux Falls, SD and I was looking for ways to help him out. I found Joe on here and after reading reviews, thought I'd try giving him a call, even though he's in New Jersey. He gave me the number of someone 5 minutes away who came to help. The guy spent a couple of hours trying to find the ring and expected nothing in return. Joe and his contacts are enthusiasts who do this to help people, not just to make money. My sister lost a valuable bracelet while taking pictures at the beach in Florida. I called Joe hoping to rent a metal detector to look for it myself. I didn't realize he was in New Jersey. No joke...I lost my ring yesterday (9/3/13)...called up Joe, and he referred me to a guy near my area that was able to meet me at the beach today (9/4/13) at 6am, before the amateur metal detector people got there and right as the sun was getting up.....in other words EARLY. The guy is actually a member of a great website Theringfinders.com. I live on Long Island and I lost my ring at Robert Moses. The guy, Ray Johnson who was the one that met me at 6am was able to find my ring in about 15 minutes, after I told him approximately where it had fallen off. It had fallen off when I was drying off...I knew immediately it had fallen off and seriously spent over an hour trying to find it, before it got too dark to see. I had given it my best effort to find it. My wife was super pissed thinking we would never see it again. It's platinum and it's not cheap. I was shocked when he found it. It was 5 inches under the sand --his metal detector had a meter that measured how deep the object was--so I never would have found it myself. I was only sifting through the top layer...I'll never know how it got so deep. Maybe from being there overnight, ahhh! I had dreams about it all night, thinking I would never find it. Well I did! Actually Ray Johnson did:)

I was considering a metal detector for our summer vacation. I didn't know much about them and spoke to Joe. He spent the time with me to find out what we wanted it for and made a great recomendation. I bought it online and we have already used it twice just to get the feel of it. It was nice dealing with someone who knows what they are doing and don't mind taking the time to speak to someone who doesn't.

Don't waste your time dealing with others. Joe at Demarco sales just doesn't sell metal detectors, he's a treasure hunter himself that takes the time to insure you understand the difference between machines and will lead you in the right direction for your purchase. He also takes pride in helping you out. I purchased a metal detector elsewhere then realized it was the wrong one for my needs. I thought I was getting good advise but found out the only thing the salesman wanted was to make a sale. Not only did I lose money but ended up selling the metal detector on my own because of the loss of returning it. So if your looking for knowledgeable personalized service, talk to Joe!
