Metro Trucking & Technical Institute
The Tractor Trailer Training / CDL Program is a 14 quarter-credit-hour program designed to prepare you to pass the Commercial Drivers License (CDL) exam. The program consists of 80 hours of classroom training and 120 hours of hands-on training. You will receive classroom training to help you pass the written portion of the CDL exam; this consists of a comprehensive analysis of all aspects of Tractor Trailer Driving plus a thorough awareness of all vehicle systems. You will receive hands-on training to prepare you to pass the skills portion of the CDL exam; this is comprised of pre-trip inspection, coupling and uncoupling, and field and road maneuvers.
