I signed up for a membership on the 1st day of my guest pass right after I had done the Pilates class with Julie! The classes at this gym are comfortable and not intimidating. The gym it self is not intimidating. I have had a gym membership at just about every gym in the area and I am happy with this gym and especially for the price. I was going to yoga and barre classes in the surrounding areas and those average about $15 to $23 a class and the fact with the pilates here I could feel every muscle I had to use and it was more of a workout was amazing for the price of one class somewhere else for a whole month here! My sister has a gym membership at 24 hr fitness but joined Mieko's for the classes as well. At 24hr fitness I did a few classes there but you were on a stage pretty much in the open for the rest of the gym to watch! At this gym the instructors do a great job of making you feel completely comfortable, giving you pointers, and they make it FUN!! I have just about gone to every class and now have my favorites which I feel addicted to.

This is hands down the WORST place to ever have a gym membership/ I tried cancelling two months ago and they CONTINUE TO BILL long after I have filled out the cancellation forms. CORPORATE claims they never got it and dont care about refunds!! I have REPORTED THEM to the BBB and I will continue to warn people about this SCAMMING COMPANY!! The owner will not talk to customers because she does not want to face the music!! I CANNOT BELIEVE that King 5 would ever recomment them!! I plan on getting KOMO 4 problems solvers involved. THE OWNER IS AN IGNORANT SCAM ARTIST!!!!!!!!!! OH and in my opinion they try and start problems including racial copouts!

Thise staff is friendly and easy to ask questions to. There is lots of equipment in good shape. Yet the best part are the great classes they give for free to members.

Mieko's gym in the neighborhood of Lake City ,Seattle needs to clean up their act. The employees are friendly and helpful but they do not keep the gym clean and sanitary. It is dirty. Fans need to be cleaned. There are holes in several spots overhead.

Also much of the equipment is old and several pieces of equipment break down frequently. Mieko's is very slow in getting the equipment fixed when it breaks down. Some equipment is not up to par even when "repaired".

Right now Mieko's is asking their members to vote for them in Best Western but I am not as there are too many issues that they need to deal with before they can earn the title of #1.
