Mike's towing stinks and it is appalling that the village of Island Lake continues to support them. The owner lies & the dispatcher lies, or perhaps they don't and it is just that they are just too stupid to actually know the details of their own business. Regardless, either situation means that this business is BAD news and run by unethical idiots. The requirements for pick up, the location, method of payment and specific charges all changed during the many phone calls that were required to actually recover the vehicle from them and after getting the "final" bill. The last of which was a $10 fuel surcharge fee when gas prices are $1.94/gallon and lowest in MONTHS when they had to go 3-4miles? REALLY??? What kind of crap is that? Then they had the NERVE to tell us that information that we had been given previously was NOT was had been provided. Well, when the calls being made are on speakerphone and there are 2-4 other people hearing the exact same thing that had been initially provided, your lies are VERY obvious. I will be logging a BBB complaint. Take heed of this warning and avoid at all costs before you too get screwed by them! NOT a solid dependable small town business trying to be a good citizen and support the people in the area, but a rotten, no-good, cheating, lying and thieving jerk who is just out for anything and everything that he can get.
