In short, I had Neal's Construction do a mud jacking project for me. Teresa bid it based on how much mudjacking effort it took to do the job. The more mudjacking done, the higher the price. She gave me a $ range.



Well, over the 1.5 days (about 11 hours not counting their cell phone breaks) while the two men were here mudjacking my garage floor, I myself was applying for jobs (I was unemployed at the time) at my computer in my front room and was in line of sight of my driveway and their truck. Being I had expensive tools in my garage I closely watched their trips to their truck to make sure they didn't take anything of mine (no problem there). But, the point is, I witnessed first hand how much dirt they used in mixing with concrete and watched them put it into a machine and slowly pump into 1.5" holes in my garage floor. Proactively I was having them try and fill an unseen cavity below the slabs where settling was occurring and NOT trying to raise the slabs. So... the objective was fill what you can blindly, hoping you hit the right areas.



When done, they still had 50% of the dirt left in their pickup, and I know because I walked by it 5 minutes before the men left. But...Tesesa billed me for full price, saying they used a full truckload of dirt, mixed proportionately with concrete, so I needed to pay top of range price. Absurd! I know what they did. I saw what I saw! When I complained of price she said the truck was empty of dirt when her lead man returned to the office and that HE doesn't lie. I needed to pay her what we agreed to, period!



It's he said she said. I can't prove that I'm not the liar she implies I am. I can't prove he had the 1/2 truckload of dirt in the truck that I walked by 5 minutes before they left. I'm not 'seeing things' as she implies.
