I called Nice Guy's two times. I have 14 rentals and know plenty about home repairs, but we live in Richmond and can not personally do everything for my grandmother.



Plus: Both times he came out IMMEDIATELY, one time was AFTER hours. My grandmother is 91 and this was greatly appreciated. The first time he fixed the toilet - it was done correctly and is still good to this day. Another BIG PLUS was although we decided not to go with the water heater work, he said he would NOT charge me a trip call (this was approx 6:30pm!), although I still sent him a trip call payment. My first and second impression is that Guy is a trustworthy person, a definite must when working for me.



Negative: The second time the gas water heater was leaking. He recommended replacing the water heater. He quoted $1100+ for the heater, extra fittings and parts and labor, (labor included purchasing and delivering unit). Because I have personally replaced several water heaters (gas and electric), this seemed high to me. It usually takes about 1-3 hours, the tank (40 gal gas) is about $360 at Home Depot, and two flexible 18 inch hose sharkbite fittings is about $25. So I thought the price was high..

Bill, the owner, is nice, competent and reliable. We came home on Thanksgiving to a cold house. We called him and he came out right away and completely replaced our furnace. We have also had them dig up and replace our main water line. I have also called him with questions and advice. What service! We just love these guys.

Guy seemed to be very nice and trustworthy. He kept talking about how he does not scam people or overprice his work. I was a single mom and did not know any better. I paid him $800 to replace a sump pump in our sewage tank. $380 for the pump and the rest was labor. Less than two years have gone by and the pump is already not working. I had problems off and on since then, but now the pump will not even turn on. Another plumbing company came and dug out the tank and pump for me today. They informed me that the pump that Guy installed is just a plastic pump that I could've bought from Lowe's for $79. Not only that, but he did not even secure the pump to the bottom. I cannot believe I paid this jerk $800. DO NOT TRUST HIM!!

I have used Nice Guy's Plumbing several times in the past 3 years, and I have been pleased every time with Guy's workmanship, customer service, fair pricing, and respectful & helpful assistance. He is my go-to plumber and handyman. I trust him implicitly and hold him with the highest esteem and regard. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I set up an appointment three weeks in advance for a residential plumbing job, called to confirm a week prior and did not hear back. Called the morning OF the appointment, with no response. I should have gotten a clue. Since he was already familiar with the project, I went ahead took valuable time off of work to meet at our "scheduled" time, and the "owner/operator" was a no-show. When I finally got through to him, he tells me that he is 'having a problem with his company.' Really? I wonder why. He doesn't bother to show up and doesn't even the decency to call and cancel -- could THAT be the problem?

I chose this business because of the good reviews I read, and I'm glad I did, Guy is very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable.

As a working single parent, I am always looking for the best deals. When I started having plumbing problems in my older home, I was nervous about being able to afford what I needed and to not get ripped off in the process.



I called Nice Guy's because it said he would not charge a service call to come out. And he didn't. He was very professional and explained to me everything that needed done in a manner that I could understand. On top of all that, the rates he gave me couldn't be beat.



When the work was completed I was so impressed. I know I got the best value for my money and I know I'll never call another plumber again. Nice Guy's has my business from now on!

I am a single mom with 4 kids and just bought a house in need of work. I am nervous about choosing out of the yellow pages but had no choice. Thank god I chose Guy! He came and fixed many odds and ends for me for the price that everyone else wanted to charge for just one repair. I can't believe how honest, fair and thorough he is. I have called him out for 3 service calls and have been just as happy as the first time. Thanks Nice Guy's for proving there still are honest dependable people out there.

I had Guy to my house for a repair on my hot water heater, first of all everyone that I did call gave me a very high estimate or they couldn't get my problem for at least three or four day's. Guy came out the same day after work and repaired it in a matter of 1 1/2 hrs. while we were talking I told him that I had a leaking faucet for about one year, well it took Guy about 15 min. to repair it. When Guy was finished he even suprised me, he cleaned up after himself.

I will use Guy from now on for almost anything I have to have done around my house. And I will also recomend him to anyone that would like peice of mind in any work he does.

I had a leaky bathroom faucet Guy was so reliable dependable & quick to the rescue he fixed my problem right the very first time . I highly recommend Nice Guys Plumbing. Then I needed another job done hes also a Ace handyman so Honest in his prices that I dont call anyone else anymore hes the man for all Jobs! A HAPPY CUSTOMER :-)
