Northwest Indiana Symphony
Based in Munster, Ind., Northwest Indiana Symphony is a cultural organization that serves the Northwest Indiana communities. Providing orchestral programming, concerts and educational programs, it comprises the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Indiana Symphony Youth Orchestra, Northwest Indiana Symphony Chorus and Women's Association. The orchestra plays a full season of subscription concerts, in addition to a number of educational outreach initiatives, designed to allow interaction and personal involvement by students represented in each program. Chorus symphony performances include Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, Requiems by Faure, Durufle and Verdi, Holst's, The Planets, Orff's Carmina Burana and Strauss' Die Fledermaus and Bizet's Carmen with the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists.
