I contracted Nugent Brothers Roofing to do a re roof on my house. Their contractor did not use any tarps to protect my siding, and did over $2,300. in damage to my siding and window trim. There are dents, long scratches, long black tar marks, handprints, and dirt smeared all over my house, top to bottom. They tore off part of the roof and left in uncovered the day of a severe storm, so I had water coming through the ceiling. White latex caulk was used around the chimney flashing instead of roofers sealant, and the contractor left without doing a final clean up and sweep with magnet. Nails, staples, cigarette butts, sawdust, and debris were all over my driveway and patio, and the yard is still littered with nails, 8 months later. Despite my repeated requests, they would not come back out and do a clean up and sweep with magnet, clean off my siding, and apply roofer's sealant to the chimney flashing. There was no supervision, even though this was the first and last job this contractor ever did for them, and the "supervisor" and owner would not return my phone calls or email. They refuse to take any responsibility for the damage they have done, and since I had not yet paid them, because the job had not been completed, they put a lien on my house. I have been trying to settle the matter and pay them for 8 months, and they are very uncooperative. (understatement). They will not release the lien unless I pay the full amount due, even though they did not complete the job according to contract, and will do nothing about the damage. They even are trying to wiggle out of providing the 10 year workmanship warranty, promised in the contract. Even after bullying me into paying the full amount without any compensation for damage and work not done, they are still being difficult about showing up to collect payment. Their attitude is incomprehensible, the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Nugent Brothers Roofing has no interest in the quality of their work, or ensuring customer satisfaction.
