Ozark Electric Cooperative is one of the 900 electric cooperatives that serve more than 40 million people in over 45 states in the United States. The cooperative serves nearly 15 million farms, homes, schools, churches and businesses. It owns and maintains approximately half of the United States distribution lines. Ozark Electric Cooperative serves more than 30,000 meters with over 4,700 miles of power lines throughout Lawrence, Barry, Christian, Dade, Greene, Jasper, Newton, Polk and Stone counties in Missouri. The cooperative offers a variety of services, including surge protection and home security. Headquartered in Mount Vernon, Mo., Ozark Electric Cooperative also maintains location in Nixa and Cape Fair, Mo.
