I just bought a Hobie Adventure Kayak (with Mirage peddle drive) from Paddlers Cove and couldn't be happier! The kayak is great, but the service and support I got from John Warta, Paddlers Cove's owner was even better! I had been shopping for a Hobie Mirage "peddle" kayak for a while. Hobie prices are the same everywhere (no discounts), so why buy from a sales clerk in a big sporting goods store when you can get it from a kayak specialist for the same price. I wasn't even sure I wanted a "peddle" kayak...and then I couldn't decide between the Revolution and the Adventure models. John discussed the pros and cons of each, then took me to a nearby lake so I could try out each one. He explained how to use the Mirage drive peddle and rudder systems. John's help made me feel confident that I made the right choice- the Adventure handles great, it's nicely outfitted- and goes like a speedboat! If you're new to kayaking or an experienced paddler (or "peddler"), I highly recommend Paddler's Cove. Be sure to check out their website.
