Provided by YP.comWell unfortunately had the experience of dealing with Palmer Woodworking and construction. As several issues occurred throughout the project his workers / subcontractors seems very polite and tentative the owner Jimmy came across as a very arrogant person who does nothing but push the blame on the customer. When trying to have a simple conversation about concerns that I had he became Furious to the point where he was screaming at me till he was red in the face. I was very disappointed with the whole experience and will never use palmer woodworking again.

Provided by YP.comHired Palmer Construction to remodel our kitchen. We paid him $16,775 in labor as well as electrical work in 4 installments as job progressed and never was late with a payment when he asked for each payment. The cabinets were purchased thru Shelly's Cabinets, Allentown, who highly recommended Palmer Construction as they worked together on kitchen remodeling we were told. Although his workers and sub-contracted people were good competent people, the owner of Palmer was rude and ignorant to the problems that arose. He would not take responsibility for wrong colored paint he used on ceiling. We had to pay another contractor $500.00 to re-paint it because he refused to re-paint it. He denied it was his responsibility for a cabinet door that came loose from it's hinges, remarking, "That's Shelly's Kitchen's responsibility, not mine, call her to fix it.", even though he installed it. Shelly's stated it was not their responsibility as well and told us to go back to Palmer! Eventually he returned to fix it, but not agreeably. The exhaust vent was not installed properly and cold air was pushing in. Another contractor came in to fix it and stated it was a shoddy job done by Palmer where there were hugh gaps in wall that were not properly filled in and we had to pay this contractor $300 to fix it. After completion of job, Palmer charged us $700.00 more outside of contract because he stated he had "done extra work that he did not charge us for", even though he stated he would not charge us, it was things he failed to rectify before the job was complete, but we still foolishly paid him to send him on his way because of his unruly demeanor. Furthermore, he was angry with us because we bought the cabinets thru Shelly's and not him, despite Shelly recommending him to do the job. This was all before he stated to us to "throw away my number because I don't want to deal with you people anymore." When I asked him if anymore repairs would have to be made, would he have a warranty to honor his work, he stated " No I am not coming back to fix anything, because nothing will break down so you will never have to call me so throw away my number." Who says things like this?? How professional is that to talk to a customer that way?? The man needs to learn people skills when dealing with customers which he clearly lacks. There is so much more that happened that was not said here about this man and his company, but I would NEVER EVER recommend this company to anyone!! Worst experience we ever had!
