Ar-bor-ist (Noun): Definition: a specialist in the cultivation and care of trees and shrubs, including tree surgery, the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of tree diseases, and the control of pests. In the time that I have worked in the Urban Forest I have seen many trees that have been poorly managed. It is my obligation to our Urban Forest and to my customers to take care of these trees so that they remain here for generations to come. When I am called to look at a tree for removal there has to be a valid reason for removal. I don't remove trees indiscriminately. Trees serve us better alive. So please seek out a Certified Arborist. I served 4 years in the Army's elite 82nd Airborne Division. I was honorably discharged in June 1990 and began working for Ludy Tree Care out of Chapel Hill, NC. In April 1991 I started my first tree business Cherokee Tree Care. I successfully ran this company until 1995 when I sold to Audubon Tree Service. In September 1996 I moved to Riverside, CA and worked for a short time with Knapp Arborists when in November 1996 I started working for Christian Brother's Tree Service where I became a Certified Tree Worker. In June 1998 I moved to Eugene, OR and worked for a short time as a free lance climber and onto the city of Salem's Tree Crew. In September 2000 I started Paschall's Tree Care. In 2005 I became a Certified Arborist.
