I cannot say enough about Walker Plumbing. My story begins on Jan 1st 2018, during the cold spell we were having. In the middle of the night our water pipes, located underneath our home, burst. After shutting off the valve from the city, the pipes froze, so that even when that valve was re-opened, the water didn't flow.The next day I started calling around, leaving phone messages. I was leaving phone messages because, no doubt, all of the plumbers were out servicing other similar cases. I left a message with Walker Plumbing, too. Everybody I eventually talked to said that they couldn't help us ... mainly due to the fact that it required getting into a tight crawl space; but also because it was too cold outside, and that the pipes were frozen. I heard every kind of reason why this job couldn't be done ... not until about a week later, when the weather forecast said that things would warm up.
Naturally, my wife and I were starting to despair ... and were making plans to move into a motel, or into a friend's house.
At about 4 pm, Tony Walker - the owner - called and said that he'd be right out, along with his son who was able to crawl in and examine the situation. "I can't guarantee that we'll be able to fix it ... ", he said. "Just to have someone come in and assess the situation ... that would be wonderful!", I thought.
If the angels in heaven had asked me, "What would be the very best outcome you would like, Mike?" ... that's what I got! In minutes Dumas (Tony's son) had crawled into the space, called out to his Dad that they needed such-and-such a pipe. Then they went and picked up the necessary material; and within 1/2 after they got back, the whole thing was fixed! Like a white tornado! They were fast, efficient, friendly ... and to top the whole thing off, they flooded me with advice on how to prevent a similar occurrence in the future. Moreover, the price was very reasonable. I was stupefied! I'd forgotten what real service was like!
