They lie about services and cleaning needed upon move-out in order to keep most or all of your deposit. If you rent from them don't count on getting your deposit back. I am getting an attorney to sue them. If you'd like to be part of the lawsuit email me at [email protected]

I have nothing good to say about this company. I was told I had to sign up for utilities in person. Utility companies told me that wasn't true. Wasted time. I was told the apartment had everything. It didn't have a decent knife, glasses, coffee cups, dish towels or bath towels. I was never given a key to the front door. Used the deadbolt. When they visited, they locked the front door, leaving me to wait while they returned to let me in. The place was not ready to rent. I left the apartment cleaner than when I rented it. Still charged for both vacuuming (I vacuumed the entire apartment the day I left) AND AN ADDITIONAL $130 for carpet cleaning. They charged me for sweeping the back patio - which is done by the Condo Association every week as part of the dues. They charged $25 to put in one light bulb. They charged $60 to replace air filters which they knew I had replaced 2 months prior (Because they not only threatened to charge me $60 if I didn't replace them, but they inspected to make sure I had done). My $650 security deposit melted down to $190. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. RUN AWAY.

My grandma rented from this place, and when she moved out, they charged her $25 to replace a burnt out light bulb, refused to accept her rent check if it was a day late unless she paid the "late fee", then sent her an additional bill for $2600. I would stay away from this place. Additionally, she was charged each time this company did an inspection, which is part of their contract with the property owner, of $40 per visit.I completely recommend staying away

DON'T RENT FROM THIS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, THEY ARE RUDE, LIED TO YOU, THEY ARE LOOKING FOR REASON TO NOT GIVE YOUR DEPOSIT BACK. IF THERE IS "0" RATE, I WILL GIVE THIS PPM ZERO.

I have been renting from preferred since late last year and you want to talk about not having someone call you back when you leave a message, or when they say they will. When we moved in they told us that some things would be taken care of in the yard in the spring and well they could have been taken care of in Jan. since we had such a mild winter and now that we are in the high 90's and low 100's it still isn't done I have replaced all the broken sprinklers and to get anything done is harder then getting something threw congress

These people are shaddy! When my father passed away and he was living with us we had a really hard time and had to move out when we did they sent us a letter and tons of bills for cleaning charges that cost up to 7k and the place was fine and still looked good, we did all our repairs because they never would even after asking a billion times while living there. Now are credit is ruined even my fathers that is passed and long gone. We never go our deposit back none but now owe them 7k for repairs that were there responsibly for 3 years of living and no sigh of a repair guy so my father on oxygen had to do them himself. Watch out for this business all they want to do is ruin you and take you for all your money. Better off buying your own home before making these people rich.

Don't worry about filling out an inventory sheet at move in... it's apparently just for show. We lived in our apartment for only two months, kept the place very clean (how dirty can it get in only 2 months?), and when we left, we left the apartment exactly how we found it. We got less than half of our security deposit back. They charge random "administration fees," $20 per vendor (i.e. carpet cleaner, apartment cleaner, etc.) Why? It costs them $20 to make an appointment to come clean? At least they itemized the "cleaning," which were all things we put on our inventory sheet at move in! The cleaning company they used spent 4 hours at $45/hr cleaning bogus things. (polishing the toilet paper holder? slightly wiping off the stovetop? organizing the condo owner's items under the sink? huh?) i give them 1 star instead of 0 (if i could) because Amy is actually very nice! (you go girl!) but shame on you, preferred! get a new cleaning company, and a conscience!

I applied for a home, and was approved the same day. Amy has treated me amazing and i'm so excited to get in. Thank you for you friendly, and proffesional treatment.

We lived there for 2 years. Never late on our rent, no kids, no pets. When we moved out, we spent hours making sure our place was as clean or more when we got it. But when we got our deposit back, they had taken almost off of it for bogus work that was not done! Phone calls were no help. They were rude and short. I would never recommend them to anyone for dishonesty. I will report them to the BBB and real estate board.

Thought they were really fair. I rented from them for 5 years. I wish that there rents were due on the 5th instead of the 3rd like other management companys. I got my deposit back like I expected.Never had any problems.

DON'T even waste your time here! Read the other 1 star reviews online! I applied for an apartment, sent in the $60 application and still hadn't heard from them in 2 weeks. I am still trying to get them to call me or email me back.
