Provided by YP.comI wish that I had found Radon Solutions when I first had a radon problem. I made the "mistake" of contracting with a company "listed on the Internet" because they advertised a "low price". I had a real estate transaction and needed to get it done as soon as possible. The company I used never visited my house but simply took down information on it using a series of questions and then sent me a quote by email.
The guys who showed up at my site looked like they were off the cable show "Deadliest Catch" (sorta "rough-looking"). After getting started, they soon informed me they had encountered something that wasn't addressed in their quote and would have to charge more for it. I was NOT happy but had no choice since I was on a time crunch to get the work done for my real estate closing. Once complete they provided a "radon test kit" for me to use to test my house.
The buyer of my home wouldnt accept a test I did and hired Radon Solutions to come out to test. They brought a continuous monitor that he left in my house for several days. During their device deployment they noticed that the fan had not been properly wired to conform to electrical code and the pipe used outside was a "thin" plastic that was not rated/recommended for outdoor use.
I went ahead and had Radon Solutions fix both of these items to make sure that the buyer would be satisfied. In spite of the additional cost I was happy that I was dealing with someone who was thoroughly knowledgeable about the proper procedures.
I only wish I had used them from the start!
