I picked up water in my diesel pickup while refueling crossing Texas during the Spring floods. Truck lost power West of Little Rock on I-40. Made it to a truck stop and changed the fuel filter. Made it to Little Rock and it happened again as I was coming to a exit. Truck died and I coasted to a motel in pouring rain. The next morning (Memorial Day) I bought two more filters and pumped 5 gallons of water/fuel off the bottom of the tank. Made it 35 miles and it died again. Put third filter on but couldn't get the truck to start. Had it towed to a competitor of Ricks just before dark and after arriving at his shop my gut told me I made the wrong call. Thankfully the truck jumped off the next morning so I paid almost $400.00 for a 5 mile tow and jump start and drove to Ricks. He pumped the bottom of my tank and I made it to Knoxville Tn. with no more problems. In the short time I was there I could tell Rick not only knew what he was doing, but had a genuine concern for helping those in need, and not the almighty dollar. If you need a mechanic in the Hazen area make the right call first, call Rick!
