Provided by YPmobileThey got my truck after my family and I broke down on christmas night through geico insurance roadside assistance. I was told they'd fix it the next day. They replaced parts that im not willing to accept and pay $ for unless i can drive my truck away... I never formally agreed to any of the parts that were supposedly replaced...

Provided by YP.comNo, no, no. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE WITH SAM!! I had hit a deer while on vacation and Sam towed me to his shop (This was my first mistake). He said the work would take 2 weeks so I had to return to Chicago while he fixed the vehicle. I had second thoughts about leaving the car with Sam, but he was always responsive and gave me the impression he knew what he was doing. Before returning to Lathrop to get my vehicle I checked with Sam multiple times and he always said everything was fine and the vehicle would be ready. Upon my return the vehicle was not done and his employees scramble to "Complete" the balance of the work. After waiting around for a morning they said the vehicle was ready. I could tell the workmanship was poor since the gaps between the hood and quarter panels were not even to the eye. However, I just wanted to get the vehicle out of his shop so I left. Upon my return I took the vehicle to a local shop only to find out that about half the work that Sam was paid for either needed to be redone, or was not done in the first place. THE MAN'S LAST NAME IS SWINDLER..BEWARE!. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE AT THIS SHOP. I gave him 1 star since zero was not an option.

Provided by YP.comworst experience ever! I called my AAA to have my car towed, I received a call from a gentlemen and I explained I wanted to take my car to a shop in Excelsior Springs the gentlemen informed me that there would be an overage charge and I said that was ok I was aware of it, I was then told if I brought the car to sams they would save me the overages. Biggest mistake of my life. It sounded good at the time so I had my car towed to Sams. I was told it would be a matter of hours before they could tell me what was wrong and I would get a call back. Those hours turned into a few days and I actually had to call them. Everytime I called I was told I would get a call back and never did. Went in to the shop a couple of times for an update and I was told they did not have my file so could not give me any price or information on it yet. Then after the diagnosis and work was completed it turned out that was not what the car needed and was still in the same condition when it went in, not starting. I was then told it was because what they "thought" was wrong was not it, it was actually something else. I asked them if I would be responsible for the work they had done since that did not fix the problem and I was told I would not. After I was informed the car was done I went in to check it out and they could not find my key! or so they said. When I came in to pay my balance everything was in order, they had not trouble finding my key or my file at that point. They did allow for me to make payments on the repairs so I thank them for that but I ended up paying over 600 more than I was told and all around my experience was not good. I do not recommend this shop to anyone! They tell everyone they have been in business for over 40 years but honestly I don't see how probably because they over charge EVERYONE to make due. The office is a complete mess papers spread out everywhere, there was a lot of things that I saw and heard that did not seem right but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and lost.

Provided by YP.comThe owner of this places last name is SWINDLER, a very appropriate name for him because that is exactly what he is. In the course of repairing a window that broke lose from the channel, his organization somehow disconnected the power from the drivers side to all the other windows and locks. SOMETHING THAT DID NOT TAKE PLACE UNTIL HE OPENED THE DOOR PANEL AND WORKED ON THE WINDOW. THE WINDOW CAME LOSE AGAIN AFTER HE SO CALLED REPAIRED IT AND I TOOK IT BACK FOR THAT RE-REPAIR ND TOLD HIM TO FIX THE LOCKS AND OTHER WINDOWS POWER FROM HE DRIVER'S SIDE THAT HE MESSED UP WITH THE ORIGINAL REPAIR OF THE WINDOW, HE SAID THAT WOULD BE $360 DOLLARS. I said NO, you messed it up when you fixed the window the first time. HE SAID NO IT JUST WORE OUT. IT IS JUST TOO MUCH OF A COINCIDENCE TO BE A COINCIDENCE THAT THE POWER FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE, THE VERY SIDE THAT HE HAD A PART REPAIRING THE WINDOW, "JUST WORE OUT" AT THE SAME TIME WHEN IN FACT IT HAD WORKED PERFECTLY BEFORE HE TOUCHED IT. WATCH OUT, IF YOU TAKE YOUR CAR IN FOR SOMETHING EVEN IF IT'S SOMETHING HE MESSED UP, HE WILL FIND WAYS TO ADD ON SOME OTHER STUFF, OR MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN THAT HE CAN FIX. MY CAR IS STILL NOT FIXED, BECAUSE HE WANTS THE $360 FOR DAMAGE HE CAUSED WITH THE ORIGINAL REPAIR OF THE WINDOW. THE WINDOW ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE CLANKS WHEN IT IS SHUT SO IT IS STILL NOT RIGHT EITHER. BE SO CAREFUL WITH THIS ONE THAT YOU STAY CLEAR AWAY.
