We called Triple A, and they unfortunately sent out Schlier’s Towing. They promised within one hour, the tow truck will be at the property. We waited an hour and a half instead. When the guy finally showed up, he walked around the car with his flashlight, stomping on the ground, and told us it’s too muddy and there’s nothing he can do to help us. I’ve never been told ‘no can’t help you’ by a tow truck company before. We backed out of a driveway straight and there was a ditch that we were leading into. We could no longer go forward or backward anymore so we needed assistance. There was no mud to be seen, otherwise it would have been all over my shoes. This company was a complete waste of time, and as I stood there 9 months pregnant, I was shocked the tow trucker guy had no interest in even trying to help. I think he wanted to get home and get paid by Triple A, when I think Triple A shouldn’t have this company represent them. After he left, we called another company, Hope’s from Tamaqua, and they said there was NO reason the first guy couldn’t have helped us. Then Hope’s hooked up the car, and pulled us out of the ditch. Easily and quickly. They even called Triple A for us, and told them the first company didn’t do their job. I highly recommend to avoid Schlier’s Towing at all costs, unless you have all day to wait just to be told ‘I can’t help you’. They might as well drive Toyota Prius’s instead of tow trucks. On the contrary, call Hope’s in Tamaqua first. They go above and beyond, and made us feel like we were well taken care of!
