I had a burglary in my home in which the burglar was bleeding, which got on many of my items. I had sent my items to be cleaned with service master. The main person for the cleaning of these items stated that all items not returned to pre-loss condition would not be billed. I received notification that my items were cleaned at the beginning of July and I was promised my items back during the next week. But the person who they gave my items to deliver to was out of town, then they forgot about them, and then they did not get them to me by the end of the month, which I had informed them well in advance I was moving. Not only was I charged for the items that were not salvageable, but I was also charged a 300$ shipping fee. I wrote down every encounter/individual I dealt with. I had fought with service master for months who said they would waive these and when i called back they would say that never happened. I have email proof of being told they'd be removed but they did not care. The individuals that I spoke with over the phone with regards to billing were not understanding about the situation and that I had just had something traumatic occur to need their services, were rude on the phone, and did not care about my concerns. I finally told her to leave the charges for the items that were returned to me still damaged, and to remove the 300$ shipping charge. She said she would NOT remove the shipping charge and stated that if she would remove it she would then go back and readjust EVERY item to the full cleaning price with no discount that my insurance company (state farm) worked out and quote "that would be far more than $300, so I would just take that." They clearly did not stick to their word on anything they said they would do. I would NEVER recommend these individuals to deal with if you had to use their emergency services as the process only made my event that much more difficult to deal with on top of other insurance related and legal things due to the event.
