Provided by YP.comI have a concern. I asked for ServPro service at 1701 Ball NE in June and a man came out in a compact green pickup with ServPro on the side. At that time the man who observed our situation recommended that the paneling on one wall be taken off, dried and replaced. In addition service was to remove or neutralize the mold on all paeling, the wall behind the paneling, do the same for the other walls in the room (without removing), do the same for the floors in the subject room plus adjacent rooms (workshop and laundry room), plus clean the carpet in the rec room. At that time I was given a quote. The service man has the quote.
He recommended that I have a window in the subject room glass blocked in that was where the source of additional moisture was thought to be coming from. I had that glass blocked window put in. the service man came in after the window was in and cured. On Monday he worked in the subject room, took out ceiling tiles and put them in the dumpster in our driveway. I was not there but I think that he may have wiped down the walls in the subject room and cleaned the floors in the subject room (I am not sure if the other two adjacent room's floors were cleaned of mold residue). On that day he left a large machine in the subject room which I believe was to further dehumidify the space and dry it further. I think the machine was left in our house for a few days. Additionally the carpet was to be cleaned in the family room and I suspect that was done.
Our family received a bill for this work which was not covered by insurance. I notified the service man that this was not an insurance job.
The family feels that the bill received was very high for the work done by one man for part of one day and for the equipment rental that was left in our house for a few days, and for the carpet cleaning.
What I need is a detailed summation of manhours spent at 1701 Ball (not including the carpet in the rec room), the price per manhour charged by ServPro, the cost of the rental drying equipment per day and for how many days was if left at 1701 Ball, cost of the solutions used to clean the mold, and finally the cost to clean one room carpet wall to wall. Please let me know the total being charged by ServPro for 1701 Ball and if there will be any refund from the amount already paid realizing that the bulk of the cost was to be for removing the paneling from one wall and replacing it after the work was done. This removal and replacement was not done per the advice of the service man when he arrived to perform the service on Monday.
