Do business at your own risk, first I had him replace my roof and I thought he did a good job so I hired him to build an addition for me. first off he said he was licensed but did not say he was not licensed in the county I live in so he did not get a permit. Second when the biuld inspector found this out and stopped all work, until a permit could be obtained, Joseph then told me he was not licensed in my county and that I would have to get the permit. Then the building inspector, who had look at what had been done so far (up to the top of the first floor walls), said that it all had to come down and that the materials could not be reused on the replacement structure. the reasons it had to come down are, first it was buildt on top of a concrete slab (old gaurage) that was not up to code to build a two story structure on top of, then the supports for the structure (wood frame crawl space) were not tide to/ anchored to anything (suppose to be done), then the nails used in the construction of the framing underneith the entire structure said on the bucket that they came in (as plain as day / read it myself) do not use in pressure treated lumber because the chemicals will eat up the nail (i.e. your house would fall in in a couple of / few years. On top of that we have had two rain storms since that time and one of the walls in my house has the sheet rock fallin off of it where water has leaked into the wall filling it up until it burst open and wa-la i had a water fall pouring out of the wall and all over my floor. Also since then water was standing in the yard and come to find out he and his crew had bursted my water pipes in two places, with the weight of the crane they used to do the roof, which in had to pay a plumber to fix. they also busted about two feet off of the corner of our concrete patio buy driving that same crane over it (yet to be fixed). I have paid in full for the roof and paid an $8000 dollar deposit on the addition. I have a leaky roof witch has caused addition damages / expenses and will have to pay someone to repair Joseph's mistake, I had to pay for the repairs to my water pipes Joseph and or is crew busted, I still have a busted patio he and or his crew broke, and I have to have someone tier down my addition in progress because of mutiple mistake by Joseph and or his crew, then find another contractor to completly start over, and on top of all this his has offered me an offensive refund of 2400-2500 dollars. He says that is what I am owed after his expenses ( i.e.= materials/time/labor). In my business, if a mistake is made, then I pay for it not the customer, and I didn't even ask him for a full refund much less for the money to pay to fix his mess he left at my home. So if you are looking to do busines with him, BEWARE!!!!!!! Would not have put one star in rating but it would not seem to post my review without at least one.
